A group of roughly 100 abortion rights advocates marched around the Stony Brook University campus and gave speeches on May 5 in protest of the leaked draft of a Supreme Court opinion that could overturn Roe v. Wade.
The Graduate Student Employees Union (GSEU) at Stony Brook presented a petition to be paid a living wage to President Maurie McInnis on Sept. 30. The union is giving McInnis 10 days to formally respond or they “will be forced to induce a response by other means.”
About 200 people from Turning Point USA (TPUSA), the New York Young Republican Club, the Long Island Loud Majority and surrounding community members gathered around the fountain at the Academic Mall on Sunday, Sept. 12, to protest mandatory vaccines.
The Stony Brook chapter of Turning Point USA will be holding an anti-mandatory vaccine protest on Sept. 12, from 3 to 4 p.m. The protest is expected to take place on West Campus, but the exact location is still to be determined.
