In a dogfight that ended with 27 total shots taken, the Stony Brook women’s soccer team was not able to take advantage of the opportunities given to them and fell to the Boston University (BU) Terriers 2-0 in a road affair on Wednesday night, Sept. 25.
Stony Brook Women’s Soccer are off to their best start since 2007, following two home victories over the weekend. The Seawolves earned a pair of 2-1 victories, starting with a thrilling overtime victory over Northeastern on Friday, Aug. 23, and Manhattan College on Sunday, Aug. 25.
Ahead of their semifinal matchup on Sunday, Oct. 25, first-place Stony Brook Women’s Soccer took home numerous honors as the America East Conference released regular season awards on Wednesday, Oct. 24.
With Stony Brook Women’s Soccer entering the 2018 season as defending America East champion, confidence in the team has never been higher. Last year’s accomplishments have not translated into expectations, however, and head coach Brendan Faherty is focused on a fresh start with this year’s squad.
