Three former Stony Brook Women’s Lacrosse players were drafted by teams in the Women’s Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL) in the league’s inaugural draft on Wednesday – midfielders Dorrien Van Dyke and Kristin Yevoli and defender Jessica Volpe.
Former senior midfielder Alex Corpolongo and senior midfielder Jeff Reh, who graduated this month, were selected in the 2017 Major League Lacrosse Draft on May 28.
“I could not be more proud of these four individuals,” head coach Joe Spallina said of the IWLCA awards in a Stony Brook Athletics press release on Wednesday.
In other milestone news, Ohlmiller’s 112 points this season kept the Tewaaraton favorite on pace to become the NCAA single-season points record holder.
