Since the outset of the conflict, the United States has spent $113 billion dollars training and equipping the Afghan National Army in preparation for them to westernize and democratize Afghanistan once U.S presence ends.
#OPINION With all that happened in 2020, it’s easy to overlook some valuable lessons we can take away from both our collective and individual experiences. We must understand how challenges that may seem independent from one another are connected.
This is a war; people must recognize that this fight is only winnable as a community. Everybody has a common enemy and we, as citizens, must take the responsibility of the foot soldiers on the front lines.
