Needing a bounceback performance after a dreadful loss to the Hartford Hawks, the Stony Brook men’s soccer team snapped their two-game losing streak in Baltimore on Saturday, Oct. 9 by beating the UMBC Retrievers 3-1.
The Seawolves came out flat all-around in a 3-1 loss to the Hartford Hawks on Saturday, Oct. 2 at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium, as the offense could not get anything going against Hartford’s defense while their own defense could not stop Hartford’s offense.
Holding on to a 2-0 lead in the second half, the Stony Brook men’s soccer team appeared to be on its way to its first conference victory of the season at home on Saturday, Oct. 19 versus the Binghamton Bearcats.
The Stony Brook men’s soccer team could not get it going on Friday night against the Hartford Hawks, losing a tightly contested game on Oct. 11 by a score of 1-0. The loss marks the team’s second straight loss and their third straight conference loss this season.
