The Stony Brook athletics program is one made up of contradictions. Its athletes have taken home a slew of awards, but they play for a student body that is largely apathetic towards those accomplishments.
Stony Brook Athletics announced in a press release on Monday, March 9, that they are monitoring attendance of all indoor sporting events and will allow fans the opportunity to acquire tickets at a safe distance from other spectators.
Stony Brook needs to focus on slower, consistent growth rather than exploiting student’s wallets in order to pursue athletic program’s dreams, no matter how outlandish.
