In his first year as head coach, Geno Ford took over a roster without a single senior and constructed a rotation filled with newcomers who are being expected to contribute. Among them are the two players he personally recruited out of high school, freshman guards Tavin Pierre Philippe and Tyler Stephenson-Moore.
The Stony Brook men’s basketball team took care of business against their yearly scheduled Division III opponent, defeating the Farmingdale State Rams 91-44 on Monday, Nov. 11 at Island Federal Credit Union Arena to earn their first victory of the season.
