Stony Brook Men’s Basketball opener at Bryant canceled after referee tests positive

The Stony Brook men’s basketball team was scheduled to open its season against the Bryant Bulldogs on Wednesday, Nov. 25, but the game was scrapped on early Wednesday morning after a referee reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.

Reports show increase in sexual assault on Stony Brook campus

While Suffolk County and New York state as a whole saw drops in reported rape in 2012, Stony Brook saw a rise in reported sexual assault. According to a report released by police, in 2012, there were 17 forcible sexual offenses in 2012—five more than in 2011 and 10 more than in 2010. There were no reported non-forcible sexual offenses.
