The Stony Brook athletics program is one made up of contradictions. Its athletes have taken home a slew of awards, but they play for a student body that is largely apathetic towards those accomplishments.
In an email to faculty and staff sent out on Aug. 12, President Maurie McInnis outlined the university’s major financial issues. She also touched on how the administration plans to combat the deficit caused by the COVID-19 crisis.
At an Undergraduate Student Government (USG) Senate meeting on Thursday, March 14, Dean of Students, Richard Gatteau, said the university is proposing to raise fees from $1,377.25 a semester to $1,503.90.
