In a meeting on Aug. 25, the USG Senate passed two amendments to their constitution; the first is an update to the office of the Executive Vice President, while the second deals with the Student Activity Fund (SAF).
Announced on USG’s Instagram on Sept. 11, Huntley Spencer has been elected president of the Undergraduate Student Government. In addition, the Student Activity Fee will be mandatory for the next two years.
Due to the financial situation of the student body brought upon by COVID-19, USG is giving undergraduate students the option to vote on the SAF being optional or mandatory.
Stony Brook University’s Undergraduate Student Government (USG) approved its finalized budget for the 2019-20 school year at the end of May, which includes a $15,000 increase in legal fees.
