The Intercollegiate Tennis Association ranked senior Raphael Termat No. 118 in the country on May 4, making him the first nationally ranked Stony Brook player in over a decade.
“We fought, everyone fought,” Hoffmann said. “Even after they clinched the match, we didn’t give up on any of the courts. Even off the court we all cheered for each other.”
The next action for head coach Gary Glassman’s squad will be on Friday, when the men’s tennis team will face Queens College in a road dual match at 12 p.m..
In the last and perhaps most difficult test of the fall schedule, the Stony Brook Men’s tennis team drove around the Long Island Sound up to Yale University for the ITA Northeast Regional.
