The UMass-Lowell River Hawks came into their Sunday afternoon matchup with the Stony Brook Seawolves losing their first 10 games of the season. But it was important for the Seawolves to not over look this game. “You have to learn very early how to fear no one but respect everyone” 29th year Coach Sue Ryan said after the game. “Our goal is to protect our home turf” she added, and that’s what the Seawolves did on Sunday, defeating the River Hawks 1-0 to improve to 7-3-1 on the season.
Stony Brook women’s soccer hosted Fairfield University for a Friday Matinée. Fresh off a 6-0 shutout of Fairleigh Dickinson, the Seawolves tallied another shutout victory 2-0, improving their record to 2-0-1.
