The Stony Brook Men’s and Women’s Tennis teams saw its fall seasons end at the ITA Regional tournament this past Sunday, at Yale and Dartmouth respectively.
Behind exceptional performances from pitchers Jane Sallen and Allison Cukrov, the Seawolves swept UMass Lowell 3-0 and 2-0 in a doubleheader on Wednesday, April 21.
The softball team came away with a pair of wins this Sunday, as the Seawolves blew past both Morgan State in a 15-0 shutout and Mount St. Mary’s in a 3-2, eight-inning bout.
A tough opponent, sloppy errors and questionable officiating marred a historic afternoon at Pritchard Gymnasium, as the New Hampshire Wildcats were able to topple the Seawolves on Saturday afternoon.
After a tough past week where the Stony Brook women’s soccer team suffered two road losses, the Seawolves returned home with a well-earned victory against the Seton Hall Pirates, 2-1.
Last Thursday the Seawolves battled against the Siena Saints, but fell by a final score of 3-2. The brace was Brittany Edwards’ first multi-goal game of her career at Stony Brook.
The Stony Brook men’s soccer team does not seem to be an NCAA Tournament caliber club yet, but they will get the chance to see what one looks like up close multiple times during this upcoming season.
