The Stony Brook University student body will be able to vote in this year’s Undergraduate Student Government (USG) election until April 7 at 12 p.m. through SBEngaged. Eighteen candidates are vying for seven Executive Council positions, and another 18 candidates are running for the 23 open Senate positions.
Manjot Singh has been elected as the next Undergraduate Student Government (USG) president. The results of the election were announced on USG’s Instagram a few hours after polls closed on SBEngaged on April 4.
The candidates for the Executive Council of Stony Brook University’s Undergraduate Student Government debated their platforms on March 26. Elections started on SBEngaged on March 29 and will be held until April 2 at noon.
Stony Brook University’s Center for Civic Justice hosted a community dialogue titled "We Voted, Now What?" on Nov. 4 as the country held its breath for a second night in a row in anticipation of the election results.
"Program advisors will be following up with their respective organizations individually to provide further support and answer organization specific questions.”
