With the graduation of two-time All-America East honoree Sabre Proctor last spring, the SBU Women’s Basketball team is turning over a new leaf heading into the 2015-16 season.
It is easy to attribute SBU missing out on the NCAA Tournament to one play in particular, but outside of inexperience, it was scoring the basketball that most often hurt SBU.
After the Stony Brook women’s basketball team went all the way from four to 14 to 24 wins in only three seasons, there was unlimited room for optimism.
The Seawolves will look to finish off the regular season on a positive note, with a pair of away games on Feb. 26 and March 1 against Binghamton and Hartford, respectively.
Little has measured up to the challenge that the Seawolves will most likely face come March: playing and beating Albany on the road in SEFCU Arena in the postseason.
