Stony Brook football hoping to spoil No. 22/23 Rhode Island’s conference opener

The Seawolves were roughed up in their first game of their 2023 campaign on Thursday, falling to the No. 19/21 Delaware Blue Hens 37-13. They will look to bounce back when they travel to Kingston, R.I. to take on the No. 22/23 Rhode Island Rams.

No. 18 Stony Brook hockey suffers crucial sweep at Rhode Island

The Seawolves (16-8-3, 6-3-1 ESCHL) traveled to South Kingston, R.I. to face off against the Rhode Island Rams this past weekend for a two-game set. To kick off the series, they lost a highly competitive contest 3-2 in overtime on Friday night.

The Seawolves split a home-and-home series with the New York University Violets over the weekend as they tried to wipe the Liberty series from memory. Stony Brook blew the Violets out of their own building on Friday with a dominant 11-2 win before losing 3-1 on Saturday at home.
