Journalism Professor Pablo Calvi talks about new book “Latin American Adventures in Literary Journalism”

Pablo Calvi, an assistant professor at Stony Brook University’s School of Journalism, explored the relationship between Latin American journalism and the socio-political identities it embodies. Fittingly, the event took place in a room covered with photographs of an exhibit highlighting the Bracero program, a labor exchange agreement between Mexico and the United States from 1942 to 1964.

Professor Eric Zolov receives his third Fulbright Scholarship

Associate History Professor Eric Zolov will spend the next academic year teaching a seminar at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile as a recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship for professionals who already have their PhDs or equivalent degrees. Zolov will teach a course called “The Global 60s,” that analyzes the impact of America’s mid-century counterculture movement on Latin America.
