I was the public relations officer for Dumbledore’s Army. However, the eBoard made a decision on July 10 and abused their power by supporting a political stance using the club’s name without the consent of club members.
I've watched a lot of TV shows over the course of my 22-year-old life. Some were good, some bad, some I loved all the way up until the end when all they had to do was stick the landing and instead they tripped and fell on their face (Looking at you “Game of Thrones”).
Stony Brook University’s undergraduate population is 53 percent male and 47 percent female. The split is not 50/50, but it is close enough to be even. Still, in terms of classroom participation, there seems to be an overwhelming presence of male voices.
Considering the most common criticism of the major — “What can you do in the real world with a philosophy degree?” — I have a lot of clearing up to do.
