Toni Blackman, entrepreneur and the first elected Hip-Hop Cultural Ambassador to the US Department of State, taught Stony Brook students the art of hip-hop mediation at the Charles B. Wang Center on Tuesday, Feb. 4.
“A lot of people actually don’t know that there are galleries on campus,” Mikaela Batista said. “So it would be great to have more students come and check out the galleries.”
For the first time in Stony Brook history, the Stony Brook Art Gallery is ready for an actual moniker. Now the gallery will bear Paul W. Zuccaire’s name, after the namesake of a foundation that’s ready to donate half a million dollars to save it.
