This year, the Art Crawl started at the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics. Nestled in a corner of campus, the building is home to the Simon Center Gallery, where the exhibit “Art of Science” is on display.
The Faculty Exhibition at the Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery opened on Wednesday, Oct. 17 with a variety of media and works of art from faculty members who are also recognized international artists.
“Double Portrait,” a collection of sculptures and unusual art, is currently being displayed in the Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery at the Staller Center for the Arts until Feb. 17.
“Sara Greenberger Rafferty: Gloves Off,” Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery's newest exhibit which opened on Nov. 2, encourages viewers to critically reflect upon and assess both the subtle and overt aggressions that plague American society and ourselves.
The tagline of graduate student Dewayne Wrencher’s website reads “Native Born Black … Artist.” Ultimately, his work's goal is to introduce questions of identity to the viewer.
The exhibit, titled "ANTIFORM," features the works of experimental New York City-based artists Lindsay Packer, Mitch Patrick and John Ros who use light to shape their artwork.
Lorna Bieber's exhibition, “Traces,” features montages and murals of black and white photographs of insects, birds and other animals, altered by Bieber in her own unique way.
“A lot of people actually don’t know that there are galleries on campus,” Mikaela Batista said. “So it would be great to have more students come and check out the galleries.”
During a walk-through of the Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery, one will find hanging canvases with neutral, earthy colors sprinkled with pre-colonial Filipino script.
