Up by a single goal with less than two minutes to play in regulation, Stony Brook Men’s Lacrosse looked to pull away from Hartford for their second consecutive victory.
Stony Brook Men’s Lacrosse came up with a victory for the first time in its last seven games overall with an 11-9 win over Fairfield at Conway Field in Rafferty Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Brown’s swift offensive tempo didn’t let up, as the team scored four straight and outscored Stony Brook 4-1 in the second period. Stony Brook’s defense failed to control the tempo for a large portion of the first half, allowing a total of 25 shots.
The much younger-staffed team, along with key veterans, look to live up to the expectations that have been placed on them and stay at the top of the America East.
