Update: SBU cancels classes after Nor’easter puts Suffolk in a state of emergency

Lights out! Campus-wide blackout prompts dance party

A steam leak in the Administration Building caused an electrical interference that resulted in a blackout across main campus on Friday, Sept. 1, Assistant Chief of Police Eric Olsen said. The blackout started at 12:20 a.m. and lasting an hour.
