The Stony Brook women’s soccer team defeated the New Hampshire Wildcats in the America East semifinals by a final score of 2-1 on Thursday, Nov. 7 at home. It was the second time that the Seawolves had defeated the Wildcats this season following a rain-soaked battle on Oct. 27.
Junior forward Alyssa Francese scored her 11th goal early and the Seawolves buoyed off last week’s 3-1 win versus Albany in a dominating performance 2-0 over Vermont on Sunday, Oct. 20 in Burlington, Vermont.
Coming off a loss to No. 2 ranked James Madison University (JMU), the No. 22 ranked Stony Brook Seawolves hosted the New Hampshire Wildcats (UNH) on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium, hoping to get back in the win column.
