The Office of Multicultural Affairs hosted Paul Kelton, a history professor at SBU, to discuss indigenous perspective and experiences of epidemics during his lecture, “Indigenous Experiences With Epidemics: From Smallpox to COVID,” on Nov. 17.
Since 2015, Brown has been running a small independent label called For Prophet Records that aims to bring independent, DIY musicians together under one banner, while also creating a sense of emotional growth within music.
The event was one of several Earthstock events in which students and faculty were able to join a growing movement of support for the planet and indigenous people.
