Bad weather created a sluggish defensive fight early, but the Stony Brook football team allowed the No. 8 Villanova Wildcats to capitalize on initially unfavorable opportunities in a 33-14 blowout loss on Saturday, Nov. 13 in Pennsylvania.
The Stony Brook football team snapped its four-game losing streak on Saturday afternoon at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium by beating the No. 14-ranked Delaware Blue Hens 34-17. Stony Brook came into the game at 1-5 (0-3 CAA), losing their last two games by a touchdown each.
Given new life by a game-changing fumble, the Stony Brook football team failed to convert on its final drive and lost 21-14 at Johnny Unitas Stadium to the Towson Tigers on Saturday, Oct. 9.
