The Seawolves broke a two-game losing streak and improved to 5-8 with the win. They will return home and face Norfolk State in their last game of 2017 on Dec. 30 at 7 p.m.
Rutgers would go on its 13-0 run and win the game, giving Pikiell one last win in IFCU after leading Stony Brook to the America East Championship last season.
