Seawolves fall to Yale on Senior Night

Kaitlin Costello had 14 kills and 15 digs while Hailee Herc had 11 digs on Senior Night for the Stony Brook Women's Volleyball team. They fell to Yale 3-1 Tuesday night at Pritchard Gymnasium. Sophomore captain Lo Hathaway did make history in the fourth set. She had her 13th dig of the night to pass Noelle Bay for the all-time single-season record at Stony Brook.

The main man behind the biggest controversy at Stony Brook in a few years is former Athletic Director Jim Fiore. He was bought out Tuesday night by the school for $800,000, covering the remaining 31 months on his contract. There are many speculations as to the rationale behind his firing, but none have been confirmed yet.

Stony Brook Athletic Director Jim Fiore is leaving the school, according to a release from the school Tuesday night. According to the press release, Senior Associate Athletic Director Donna Woodruff will serve as the Interim Athletic Director, as they look for a replacement.

Seawolves defeated Liberty 4-0 on Saturday night. With the win, Stony Brook improved to 8-3 on the season and is tied with the University of Delaware for second place in the Eastern States Collegiate Hockey League.

The Seawolves defeated Providence 3-1 Sunday to get back into the America East Tournament. Stony Brook took the first set 25-19, fell 23-25 in the second set, and then won the third and fourth set, 25-19 and 25-22.

Seawolves defeat Westchester University for fifth consecutive win

Seawolves have won five straight games after defeating Westchester University on Friday and Saturday night. Stony Brook won the first game 6-3 and then took the second 3-2 in overtime to improve to 10-2-1 on the season.
