SBU Softball locked in a No. 4 seed in the America East Championships after winning the first game and splitting the ensuing doubleheader in a three-game series versus Albany.
Entering Tuesday’s matchup against Hofstra, senior pitcher Jane Sallen was gunning for her third consecutive no-hitter. However, Hofstra’s offense would not allow that.
In Saturday’s series opener, Jane Sallen pitched the full seven innings without allowing a hit, walking five and striking out six and bringing her record to 13-10.
Strong pitching led the way as Stony Brook Softball swept its series against Hartford this weekend. The three wins improved the team’s America East record to 6-2 this season.
