The Seawolves’ undefeated streak came to an end on Friday, Sept. 27, as Stony Brook fell 3-1 to the Hartford Hawks in their first conference bout of the season.
This summed up a hard offensive day for Stony Brook, who were shut out in a game that came down to a spectacular goal as they fell 1–0 to St. Francis Brooklyn.
Splitting the first two games on Friday, Feb. 22 and Saturday, Feb. 23, the Seawolves dropped the finale on Sunday, Feb. 24 and walked away with a 3-3 overall record.
The Lions can never seem to beat the Packers at Lambeau Field, Federer can never seem to beat Nadal at Roland Garros, and the Seawolves can never seem to beat the Catamounts at Patrick Gym.
It was far from pretty and nearly went the other way multiple times in the final 60 seconds, but Stony Brook escaped with a 57-56 win over Columbia in its debut game at Island FCU Arena.
