While the Stony Brook men’s and women’s basketball teams have had some ups and downs in their campaigns, the Seawolves on the ice have maintained a high level of play throughout their entire season.
This past weekend, it was off to Charlotte, NC for the Seawolves and a chance to play in the 49er Invite, hosted by the Charlotte 49ers. The first game was nothing short of crazy, as Stony Brook played the host team in game one of what would be five over the course of the weekend.
Seawolves defeated Liberty 4-0 on Saturday night. With the win, Stony Brook improved to 8-3 on the season and is tied with the University of Delaware for second place in the Eastern States Collegiate Hockey League.
While a safer society is something we can all agree on, what must be determined is the best route for getting there. And while many people see the stripping of civil liberties as a quick and easy fix, it has been proven time and time again that this is not the solution.
