Stony Brook had a crucial week of matches this week against Vermont and Albany, as the Seawolves continue to chase a spot in the America East tournament come the end of October.
The Stony Brook women’s soccer team looked as if they were destined for another tie when their Sunday afternoon game against Binghamton was knotted at zero.
On Thursday, Stony Brook headed out to Belson Stadium in Queens, New York to take on St. John’s. The Seawolves were unable to bring back home a win, as they fell to the Red Storm 1-0.
After a tough past week where the Stony Brook women’s soccer team suffered two road losses, the Seawolves returned home with a well-earned victory against the Seton Hall Pirates, 2-1.
The Seawolves netted two goals in the final 20 minutes of the game on Sunday to defeat Siena 3-1. Sophomore Danielle Fuller and freshmen Leah Yurko and Lindsay Hutchinson all scored their first collegiate goals in the win.
