Stony Brook Baseball ended its weekend series with UMBC on a high note Sunday afternoon, earning a come-from-behind 11-6 victory the day after 9-2 and 3-1 losses.
The Stony Brook baseball team returned to Joe Nathan Field for a pair of mid-week home games on Tuesday and Wednesday, defeating Iona 5-2 and Central Connecticut 5-0, respectively.
Stony Brook Baseball continued its recent hot streak by winning its fourth consecutive game on Tuesday, defeating the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds by a final score of 5-3 at Joe Nathan Field.
The Seawolves pitching staff allowed 28 runs in the series against the Wagner Seahawks, dropping all three games. The weekend sweep lowered Stony Brook’s record to 7-7, with six losses in the team’s last seven games.
While the series was competitive for most of the weekend, Stony Brook left Florida without a victory. The three game sweep dropped Stony Brook’s record to 6-4, while Florida continues to roll at 12-1.
Following a successful opening series victory against Nicholls State, the Stony Brook baseball team went down to Virginia for a set of three games against Iona, Sacred Heart and host Norfolk State.
