The Stony Brook football team snapped its four-game losing streak on Saturday afternoon at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium by beating the No. 14-ranked Delaware Blue Hens 34-17. Stony Brook came into the game at 1-5 (0-3 CAA), losing their last two games by a touchdown each.
After last week’s comeback effort fell short against Towson, the Stony Brook football team will return home to face the reigning CAA champion, the Delaware Blue Hens, at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 3:30 p.m.
Coming off a bye week, the 3-0 (1-0 CAA) Rams will be well-rested as they look to stay undefeated and earn their first win over Stony Brook in program history. The Seawolves are 7-0 all-time against Rhode Island, with an average margin of victory of 18.14 points in those games.
Facing a winless Fordham Rams team at home and coming off a strong first-half performance last week at No. 3 Oregon, Stony Brook was embarrassed 31-14 by Fordham on Saturday, Sept. 25 at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium.
