Ahead of their semifinal matchup on Sunday, Oct. 25, first-place Stony Brook Women’s Soccer took home numerous honors as the America East Conference released regular season awards on Wednesday, Oct. 24.
The 33rd-minute goal, which sealed Stony Brook’s second-ever America East title, is arguably the highlight of senior forward Manuela Corcho’s college career.
A late goal from Seawolves junior defender Kaitlin Loughren in the closing minutes of Sunday’s match between the Stony Brook women’s soccer team and Dartmouth helped stave off a shutout, but failed to spark a comeback as the Seawolves fell 2-1 to the Big Green.
Senior midfielder Tessa Devereaux assisted on freshman midfielder Julie Johnstonbaugh’s first career goal in the 11th minute to give the Seawolves an early lead.
