With the 1-0 loss down in North Carolina, the team secured a winless record on the road against conference opponents in 2022. Stony Brook was also officially eliminated from the postseason, becoming the first team in the conference to reach that low.
The Stony Brook men’s soccer team could not capitalize on any of its nine shots, as the team was shutout for the sixth time in the last eight matches. The Seawolves took on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights for a mid-week, non-conference matchup on Wednesday.

The Seawolves hosted the Northeastern Huskies on Saturday to wrap up their four-game homestand at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium. The team was unable to generate any offense against the Huskies, as they were shutout 1-0.
The Seawolves traveled down to North Carolina on Saturday, Sept. 10 to face off against the Elon Phoenix for their first road game of the conference season. Stony Brook came away with a 1-0 defeat after being shut down by the Elon defense.
The Seawolves showed out in their first conference game of the season on Saturday, Sept. 3 with a 2-1 win over the Hofstra Pride at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium. The victory marked the first conference win as members of the CAA for Stony Brook.
After winning 2021 America East Rookie of the Year, forward Jonas Bickus is back for a highly anticipated sophomore season with the Stony Brook men’s soccer team. Bickus hails from Klaipeda, Lithuania.
