Stony Brook Men’s Basketball picked up two key victories this week, winning 97-61 against the Molloy College Lions in the team’s home opener at Island Federal Credit Union Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 21 and against Rhode Island on Nov. 24.
Despite trailing 22-0 in the first half and committing an accidental technical foul in the closing seconds of the game, Stony Brook Men’s Basketball fought back and won 77-74 in overtime over George Washington University in the season opener on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
The Stony Brook men’s basketball team’s season came to end in the America East Conference Tournament for the second consecutive season, falling to No. 1-seeded Vermont 70-51 Tuesday night at Patrick Gym.
Stony Brook got off to a hot start and held off multiple comeback attempts by Albany to survive the first round of the America East Conference Tournament by a final score of 69-60 Saturday night at the State Employees Federal Credit Union Arena.
