The Stony Brook men’s basketball team’s season came to end in the America East Conference Tournament for the second consecutive season, falling to No. 1-seeded Vermont 70-51 Tuesday night at Patrick Gym.
Iroegbu banked home a three-fourths court shot at the end of the first half, and the Seawolves used that shot to coast to an 81-68 victory over the UMass Lowell River Hawks on Thursday night at the Island Federal Credit Union Arena.
The Seawolves’ game on Sunday afternoon against the UNH Wildcats came down to the final moments once again, but the Seawolves found themselves on the losing side of the comeback.
The Seawolves broke a two-game losing streak and improved to 5-8 with the win. They will return home and face Norfolk State in their last game of 2017 on Dec. 30 at 7 p.m.
