Courtney Murphy (#18) is a freshman on the Stony Brook Women’s Lacrosse team, but she is playing like a star senior would. The Sandy Hook Benefit Concert not only paid tribute to the lives that were lost and impacted by the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. through song, dance and green ribbons, but it also emphasized the meaning of community and even featured a brief lesson on active shooters.
