Wrapping up the nonconference portion of their schedule, the Seawolves engaged in a 2-2 draw with the Fordham Rams on Thursday night at Jack Coffey Field. After falling behind 2-0, Stony Brook’s high-flying offense rallied to knot the score up.
Following their first win of the season, the Seawolves (2-1-1) picked up another victory 2-1 over the Merrimack Warriors (1-2-0) on Sunday afternoon at Martone-Mejail Field. Another strong performance on both ends brought Stony Brook a winning record.
Last week’s 38-0 loss to Air Force left the Seawolves stomaching the bitter taste of defeat, but yesterday’s 50-21 victory at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium refreshed them.
After home wins against Saint Peter’s and Villanova, the SBU Baseball team stumbled in a loss to Fordham on Sunday. The team got back on track Tuesday with a win over Iona.
