The State University of New York (SUNY) and City University of New York (CUNY) are chartering flights from South Korea, Italy and Japan to bring home students studying abroad in the wake of the coronavirus, or COVID-19.
After the approval by the Board, SUNY will send out a press release detailing the new president’s appointment information, according to the SUNY Presidential Search Summary and Timeline. The new president is expected to take over this summer.
“As he considered his future career options, he felt he needed the freedom to pursue external professional opportunities, without the complication of being an internal candidate at Stony Brook,” Lauren Sheprow, the university media relations officer, wrote in an email.
