SBU professor leads statewide research “AI-Grid” to improve power infrastructure

Student media briefing got questions answered, but we are still being limited

I had the opportunity to attend a student media briefing with Interim President, Dr. Michael Bernstein on Wednesday, Dec. 4 with Editor in Chief of The Statesman, Gary Ghayrat and Assistant News Editor, Maya Brown. The briefing consisted of other campus media outlets along with The Statesman, and other members of Bernstein’s team, such as University Media Relations Officer, Lauren Sheprow.

Administration needs to finish existing construction before beginning new projects

There’s hardly any place on campus where the signs of the university’s rapid expansion can be escaped. We should applaud the administration’s desire to mold Stony Brook into one of the nation’s most prestigious universities, but the current scope is going too far, far enough that it has become a burden to the current students.
