The Harvard University Institute of Politics Poll found out that about only a quarter of millennials that can vote plan on going to cast their ballot in this year’s midterm elections.
President Bill Clinton encouraged Stony Brook University students to vote and spoke on behalf of the Tim Bishop congressional re-election campaign on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
An even more significant event will take place early this November: the midterm elections for the United States Senate, which could lead to a Republican dominated House of Representatives and Senate.
So, imagine this: two groups of people are arguing about something. Neither side is willing to concede anything to the other side, let alone try to reach a compromise. They won’t even meet with the other group of people because they are so entrenched in their own opinions. Does this sound like what you might find on an elementary school playground? Yes, it does. It’s also what is currently happening in the government of one of the most powerful nations on the face of this Earth.
