Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, violence and blatant racism toward Asian people has skyrocketed. While people are becoming more aware of the issue, many are left wondering what can be done to support the Asian community.
Dr. Jelani Cobb, an American writer, author and educator, spoke as part of the University’s Presidential Lecture Series on Monday, Oct. 28. During the lecture, Cobb discussed microaggressions and the pursuit of equity in the U.S.
The number of crimes reported on campus and at residential facilities rose between 2016 and 2017, according to the 2018 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report, which was released last Friday.
