The Stony Brook baseball team hosted Bryant and UMass at Joe Nathan Field over the weekend in their final non-conference games of the regular season, taking both games against Bryant on Friday and Sunday, and dropping Saturday’s game against UMass.
The Stony Brook baseball team’s trip to Albany this weekend ended in disappointment. Two of the team’s games were closely contested, but all three resulted in losses for the Seawolves in a series sweep at the hands of the Great Danes.
The Stony Brook baseball team took care of business, winning two of three to secure the series victory and improve to 17-12. Stony Brook also moves into first place in the America East conference at 6-3.
The Stony Brook baseball team wrapped up its first homestand of the season over the weekend, playing three games against Quinnipiac and sweeping the series.
The Seawolves pitching staff allowed 28 runs in the series against the Wagner Seahawks, dropping all three games. The weekend sweep lowered Stony Brook’s record to 7-7, with six losses in the team’s last seven games.
While the series was competitive for most of the weekend, Stony Brook left Florida without a victory. The three game sweep dropped Stony Brook’s record to 6-4, while Florida continues to roll at 12-1.
Following a successful opening series victory against Nicholls State, the Stony Brook baseball team went down to Virginia for a set of three games against Iona, Sacred Heart and host Norfolk State.
