After graduation, some college students continue their education or go to work for someone else, but not Stony Brook University graduates Kimberly Burkart and Nicole Ramirez.
The Stony Brook softball team released their 2017 schedule last week, which will see the team partake in five tournaments and host 16 home games in the upcoming season.

Junior midfielder Dorrien Van Dyke’s final goal of the night, netted off a free-position try with 11:37 left in the second half, marked the 100th goal of her career.
“Oh it went in, and then it went out,” Van Dyke said. “I think that was a little disappointing, but next time I’ll shoot it in a different place and hopefully it stays in.”
