Despite its cleanest performance of the year, the Stony Brook football team could not crank out an upset in their return home. In their first home game in a month, the Seawolves were defeated by No. 18/21 William & Mary on Saturday by a score of 27-10.
It was a tough trip to Virginia for the Seawolves, as they were blown out on Saturday by the Richmond Spiders 51-7. After a quick start for Stony Brook, the team was dissected by Richmond quarterback Drew Udinski and the rest of his passing offense.
The countdown is almost over, as the 2022 Stony Brook football season is just two days away. After finishing under .500 and missing the playoffs for the third straight year, the Stony Brook football team has a lot to prove.
