Hosted by the Stony Brook Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and the Black Student Athlete Huddle, about 200 attendees and students came together to show support for the Black Lives Matter movement.
Spring break is usually a time when some college students go back home and work at their part-time or full-time jobs. In the midst of the coronavirus (COVID-19), that was not the case.
The demonstration started at the Student Activities Center and students made their way toward the Administration Building, chanting “Black Lives Matter.”
