Despite its cleanest performance of the year, the Stony Brook football team could not crank out an upset in their return home. In their first home game in a month, the Seawolves were defeated by No. 18/21 William & Mary on Saturday by a score of 27-10.
Following a 51-7 thrashing against No. 22/24 Richmond, the Stony Brook football team is hoping to bounce back and pick up its first win of the 2022 season. This Saturday, the Seawolves return home to take on No. 18/21 William & Mary.

This year’s installment of the Stony Brook football team’s annual spring game featured a dominant offensive performance which picked apart an injury-riddled defensive line which showed room for improvement.
The freshman class of student-athletes will be dealing with this rapid change while also acclimating to the usual nerves and challenges that come with entering a new environment at the university, and jumping to an entirely new level of competition.
