An offensive explosion led the Stony Brook club hockey team to a perfect start to the 2022-23 season. The Seawolves opened their season in Syracuse, N.Y. to take on the Syracuse Orange for their season-opening series.
The season came to a close on Monday night for the Stony Brook Hockey team, as Iowa State defeated the Seawolves, 2-1, in the semifinals of the ACHA National Tournament.
Stony Brook will compete as the top seed in the ESCHL playoffs next weekend at Lehigh Valley College, a tournament the team has won in back-to-back seasons.
No. 1-ranked Stony Brook is carrying a Zamboni full of momentum into the end of the season as the team attempts to take the next step and become national champions.
