The number of security cameras on campus has increased as part of a prolonged effort to deter crime, according to a Stony Brook University Senate report.
Reports of rape, robbery and aggravated assault on the Stony Brook campus increased last year, according to the Annual Security and Fire Report released by the University Police Department (UPD) Tuesday.
More rapes were reported last year on Stony Brook University’s campus than in any previous year since 2006, according to a security report released by the University Police Department last month.
